NAACP Arlington Branch
Scholarship Program
Purpose
In an effort to expand young adult engagement and higher educational opportunities, the
NAACP Arlington Branch, with the help of public and private donations, and the Willard Woodson Brittain Foundation, is committed to furthering the access of financial support for graduating high school seniors who have been accepted to an institution of higher learning. These scholarships, which are either annually renewable or one-time awards, are intended to help narrow the opportunity gaps that some Arlington students face throughout their educational careers.
The NAACP Arlington Branch seeks to eradicate racial prejudice and to eliminate racial discrimination in access to education, employment, housing, and civil rights. NAACP Arlington Branch scholarships are awarded without regard to race, sex, religion, age, disability, or national origin.
